‘Rana’ will go on

For all you millions of Superstar Rajinikanth fans out there, here’s some happy news! Director KS Ravikumar spoke to the media, and stated to the glee of many that his forthcoming project with Rajinikanth, ‘Rana’ being shelved is completely false.

Rajini is hospitalized from May 13 that has worried many and also led many disturbing rumours about the star’s conditions. There were talks about his forthcoming project; ‘Rana’ has been dropped due to the stars condition.

Director KS Ravikumar formally announced to media that this news about the movie being dropped is completely false. He said, “It is natural for people to fall ill and as our leading star is now not so well, we feel unpleasant about these rumours confirming the film being dropped. ‘Rana’ is Superstar Rajini Sir’s dream project and his brainchild and hence he is very much keen on undertaking it and completing it successfully.”

It is also said that the lead actress, Deepika Padukone’s dates are free only after July and the project will go on floors after that. Superstar’s health issues have only caused a minor glitch in the shooting plans but Rajini will be doing the project once he recovers fully.

The movie will be releasing the following year, in 2012.
